Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler is certainly built for the big stage.

The 31-year-old two-way ace made Finals history on Sunday after becoming only the third player to record a triple-double on the grandest stage of the playoffs. He joins an exclusive club composed of legendary player Jerry West and his current NBA Finals foe LeBron James.

Jimmy Buckets lived up to his nickname in Game 3, putting up yet another all-around performance to power the Heat to a 115-104 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Butler poured in a game-best 40 points to go along 11 rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and two blocks in 45 minutes.

Making the feat even more impressive was that Butler didn't even attempt a single 3-pointer the entire game. The last time this record was made dates all the way back to 2002 when the Big Diesel accomplished it against the New Jersey Nets.

Jimmy Butler was sensational the entire game, as he did not allow his team to fall down a daunting 3-0 hole against the overpowered Lakers unit. The 6-foot-7 swingman was in full takeover mode in the final period, particularly when the Purple and Gold made their run.

The Lakers took a two-point advantage late and were on the verge of completing a comeback before Butler practically willed the Heat to victory. He drilled crucial buckets in the dying minutes and played exceptional defense on the other end.

Butler even boldly told LeBron James that his team is in trouble, after giving Miami an 11-point lead with 1:15 left in the game. Apart from Butler's heroics, the Heat also received some valuable contributions from snipers Tyler Herro and Kelly Olynyk who pitched in 17 markers apiece.
