Jimmy Butler might have failed to lead the Miami Heat to the NBA title in the 2019-20 campaign, but he believes there are still big things in store for him in South Beach in the coming years.

A day after their disappointing defeat to eventual champions Los Angeles Lakers in six games, Butler vowed to get the job done in the near future.

“We’re going to learn from this. We’re going to get better,” Butler said, per Sam Amico of Amico Hoops. “We’re going to come back. We’re going to come back. We’ll be back. That’s what we’re all saying in that locker room. We got guys that want to do it. We got guys that already want to get back in the gym and get to working at this thing. That’s what we do here.”

Jimmy Buckets completely shed his supposed notorious reputation in his first year in Miami and emerged as one of the best two-way players in the league today.

The 6-foot-7 swingman proved to be the perfect fit in the Heat's culture and normed 19.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.8 steals while shooting 45.5 percent from the field in 58 regular-season games.

The former Marquette standout was a different animal come playoff time and proved he was ready for primetime in the Finals. Butler became the first player to outscore, outrebound and out-assist LeBron James in an NBA Finals game. Butler became the second player to record multiple 30-point triple-doubles in an NBA Finals, joining the Lakers superstar.

Jimmy Butler certainly did not disappoint in his first year in South Beach. Looks like he finally found the franchise that he can call home.
