The Miami Heat are riding an incredible high in Game 3 of their series against the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately for them, they were hit with some scary news regarding their star. Jimmy Butler, the superstar forward, has shockingly been ruled out of the game at halftime due to an injury. The team is listing the reason as “right knee inflammation”. (via ClutchPoints)

Butler didn't look injured in the first half of Game 3: in fact, he looked as sharp as ever. The Heat forward scored 8 points and mostly took a backseat to Bam Adebayo, who was hot to start the game. It's unclear what caused the inflammation, but it certainly was bad enough for the team to rule out their star.

It's going to be an uphill battle for the Heat moving forward. Butler has been far and away their best player on both sides of the ball in this series. His ability to score at will and create plays on offense and defense has tormented the Celtics all series long. His presence in this pivotal series will be missed.

With Butler ruled out, the Heat will be relying on Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and the returning Kyle Lowry to shoulder the load. Victor Oladipo also started the second half in Butler's stead.
