Jimmy Butler made headlines on Tuesday night after his heroic performance for the Miami Heat. The six-time All-Star dropped a playoff-best 45 points all over Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks as Miami secured a 115-105 win to take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

After the game, Butler sounded off on his epic performance. The Heat star explained that he's now a different man from the player he once was:

“I am a different player now than I was then,” Butler said, via Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “I just always want to play basketball the right way and do whatever it takes to help this team, this organization win. That's why they brought me here.”

Butler went on to express how his mindset has shifted now that Kyle Lowry is in the picture for the Heat:

“I'm not as ball-dominant as I was in the Bubble,” Butler said. “We got a point guard, and that's Kyle and I love him being a point guard. … I just get to go out there and try to score. And if I can't score, pass the ball. We're a different team, I'm a different player.”

The Heat need Butler at his best when the Hawks host Miami in Games 3 and 4. This series is far from over.
