After suffering a loss from the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, the Miami Heat received their fifth straight loss in a row. The team has been struggling recently, which isn't ideal considering they're in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

The organization recently traded for Victor Oladipo, which improves this team's chances of turning it around soon. However, he has yet to play a game, as he's brand new to the roster.

The Heat's star guard, Jimmy Butler, voiced his opinion on the frustrating loss on Friday, saying,

“Same story different day, I guess,” per the Miami Herald.

Obviously, he's frustrated with the recent spurt of losses, as it's becoming a recurring issue for this team. The squad is making the same mistakes, night in, and night out, which has created this five-game losing streak. Butler seems confident that it's the Heat that are beating themselves, and not purely their opponents outplaying them.

Miami will need to right the ship soon, especially with the playoffs right around the corner. Luckily for them, they have four home games within the next seven, and Oladipo will be joining the team soon as well.

This a crucial time of the season, and sitting in the eighth seed this year doesn't guarantee a playoff spot, as the NBA has created a “play-in” game situation for the postseason this year.

For the Heat to guarantee a playoff spot, they'll have to finish as the sixth seed. They're only one and a half games back, which means they're right in the middle of the race to the playoffs. Catch the Heat's next game on Monday, as they attempt to snap their losing streak against the fifth-place New York Knicks.
