After being spotted donning Miami Heat apparel, fans were quick to speculate that two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas was about to take his talents to South Beach. However, Thomas extinguished any Heat talks from the get-go.

According to Thomas, he collects game shorts and wears them in the offseason. It's as simple as that.

It's understandable that fans are throwing out all sorts of speculations this offseason. With the game put to a half for a few months, the only action fans witness is the big signings and the blockbuster trades. And there have been many signings and swaps that have occurred so far.

However, there are tons of players in the free-agent block waiting for that call. Unfortunately, Thomas — once a candidate for Most Valuable Player — is still one of those players. Standing just 5-foot-9, Thomas guided the Boston Celtics to multiple playoff appearances from 2015 to 2017. They made it as far as the Eastern Conference FInals only to be booted out by LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers.

Post-Celtics, it was a downhill journey for Thomas. In the 2018-19 season, he donned the Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers jersey. The following season, he played just 12 games for the Denver Nuggets amid an ailing back. In the 2019-20 season, things seemed to align for the 31-year-old as he played 40 games for the Washington Wizards. But come the trade deadline, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers and was waived two days later.

Amid all this, Isaiah Thomas maintains a positive mindset. He fully believes that he can still become a productive player for any team.
