Miami Heat president Pat Riley made a huge splash at the trade deadline by acquiring former Finals MVP Andre Iguodala from the Memphis Grizzlies.

While Iguodala isn't a star in the league anymore, he's still a versatile and smart player who is going to help the Heat win a lot of games, especially once the playoffs start.

Riley, speaking to Heat reporters on Friday, says he's focused on this season, while adding that Miami will continue to be aggressive in the future:

The Heat reportedly told Jimmy Butler this past summer they will be belligerent in trying to land another star in the future.

Miami is enamored with Washington Wizards All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal. The Heat have been trying to acquire Beal for the past few years, but the Wizards thus far have shown no interest in trading the sharpshooter, especially after signing him to an extension before the season started.

Butler was reportedly blown away by all the pomp and circumstance surrounding Dwyane Wade’s last home game with the Heat last season, so much so that he told friends after the game being able to see what Miami and the Heat organization are about left an enormous impact on him.

Last season with the Golden State Warriors, Iguodala averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 58.2 percent from the free-throw line. The 35-year-old swingman put up 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in the 2019 playoffs.

The Heat are thrilled to have Iguodala in South Beach.
