There's no denying that Tyler Herro has been integral to the success of the Miami Heat this season. However, if you ask his dad, Chris Herro, this proud father firmly believes that without his son, the Heat wouldn't be a very good team.

According to Mr. Herro, there's just no way the Heat would have dominated the regular season had it not been for his son:

“It's, ‘Can he be that dude?'” Chris said, via Israel Gutierrez of ESPN. “What are you talking about? He's been doing it all year. If Tyler Herro doesn't exist on the Miami Heat, the Miami Heat are a .500 club. Let's be real, dude.

“I'm not being arrogant because he's my son. I'm just being real.”

For a bit of perspective, the Charlotte Hornets finished the regular season with a .524 winning record. This was good for the 10th spot in the East which also happened to be the final Play-In spot in the conference. What Tyler Herro's dad is implying here is that the Heat would not have even made it to the Play-In tournament this season if his son wasn't on the squad.

Herro is a great player but I'm not too comfortable with the idea that he's the most important player on the team. His father, however, clearly has no problem with this notion.
