Hitman 3 released a year ago, on January 20, 2021. IO Interactive was also very proud to announce that Hitman 3 is the most successful Hitman installment of all time. The entire World of Assassination trilogy boasted 50 million players as of this late 2021 video released by IOI. In the same video, they shared their plans for 2022 called Hitman 3 – Year 2.

Hitman 3 – Year 2 will feature additional content to the trilogy finale. Ray Tracing for PC will make the already beautiful environments more lifelike. This, combined with VR support, will put you in the shoes of Agent 47 as he carries out contracts. They also announced a game mode called Elusive Target Arcade. This game mode will have players  “take on the ultimate Elusive Target challenge in a change to the established formula in this fan-favourite game mode.” Elusive Target Arcade will be a permanent addition to the game.

Aside from all these, there will be “new maps, new story lines, new modes, and new ways of playing” come Hitman 3 – Year 2. The video overall was a teaser, but now it seems IOI is finally ready to share details. The tweet below announces the date of the reveal stream. It also has the link to the Hitman YouTube channel where the stream will take place.

Hitman 3 is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows (Epic Games Exclusive), and Google Stadia.
