The Charlotte Hornets are listing small forward Jeremy Lamb as probable and Marvin Williams as out for Wednesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Lamb will likely play despite dealing with a sore ankle. Williams, however, won't be able to give it a go with right foot soreness.

The Hornets are 35-42 on the season. They sit in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference standings and three games back of the Miami Heat for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.

Jeremy Lamb tweaked his ankle in the Hornets' last game against the Jazz. He played 30 minutes and finished with 23 points. Charlotte lost to Utah by a final score of 111-102.

On the season for the Hornets, Lamb is averaging 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from beyond the arc and 89.0 percent from the free-throw line. The 26-year-old is Charlotte's second-leading scorer behind All-Star point guard Kemba Walker.

Marvin Williams played 24 minutes against the Jazz, but didn't get in the scoring column. The foot soreness might have played a part in his struggles.

The Hornets haven't made the postseason since 2016. Walker becomes a free agent this summer, so the pressure is on in Charlotte.
