Charlotte Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball has been having quite a year. The third overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft has been creating waves in Charlotte and has almost singlehandedly transformed the Buzz City squad from a tank-worthy unit to one of the most exciting teams in the East.

On Monday, the young Ball made headlines again after another terrific performance that helped the Hornets grab a huge 119-94 win over the Houston Rockets.

According to ESPN, Ball's performance against the Rockets puts him in an elusive group. Apparently, he is just the third players aged 19 or younger to notch multiple games with a stat line of 20 points, five rebounds and 10 assists. He now joins Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and Dallas Mavericks youngster Luka Doncic.

LaMelo Ball led the way for the Hornets against the Rockets with a game-high of 24 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists. He also drained a career-high of seven triples.

The Chino Hills product has been by far the most impressive rookie in his class. After starting the season as a reserve, Ball's recent numbers have pushed head coach James Borrego to start the 19-year-old. The Hornets have now won three of their last five games with Ball starting alongside Terry Rozier as Devonte' Graham continues to nurse a groin strain.

In his five starts, Ball has been averaging 22.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists. He also erupted for a career-high of 34 against the Utah Jazz last week.

Impressive is definitely an understatement for the young Melo. The ball is in LaMelo's court, and he seems to be ready to absolutely go  all  out.
