The Charlotte Hornets went up by 16 points against the Los Angeles Lakers after the first half of Friday's contest. With less than 20 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, however, that lead was down to one. Considering the rather shocking turn of events, it's not surprising why franchise owner Michael Jordan needed to walk it off.

While we didn't see Jordan's facial reaction, walking out is a clear sign of frustration. But who can blame him? The Hornets had the game to lose after a brilliant first half, and lose they almost did.

Fortunately for Michael Jordan, the Hornets escaped with a 117-114 victory. Russell Westbrook, who exploded for 30 points in the second half after a five-point first half, missed a stepback 3-pointer that would have won the Lakers the game.

In the end, it was the stroke of luck the Hornets needed to get the W and start a new winning streak.

However, it's hard to imagine what would have Jordan done or how he would have reacted had the Hornets completely collapsed and blew their massive lead. Remember how angry he was at Kelly Oubre Jr. for an ill-advised shot against the New York Knicks early in the season? Or that time he hit Malik Monk at the back of his head twice for his exaggerated celebration that earned him a tech in 2018?
