Quarterback prospect Jaden Rashada is set for a massive payday before he even steps foot on a college football field. According to On3 Sports, the Miami Hurricanes dropped a stupendous amount of money to lure in the 4-star recruit, who snubbed Florida in the process.

Rashada agreed to a $9.5 million NIL with Miami booster John Ruiz, turning down an $11 million offer from the Florida Gators Collective. Michael W. Caspino, a NIL lawyer, revealed why Rashada decided to turn his back on Florida and join the Hurricanes:

“Jaden left millions on the table,” said Caspino, who confirmed he represented Rashada in his NIL negotiations with collectives across the country. “Millions. He did not pick the highest offer. He went there because he loves Miami, the coaches, and the opportunity.”

In the process, Caspino absolutely eviscerated Florida for their “dysfunction”:

“Florida is the most dysfunctional collective in all of college football,” he said. “I plan on steering my clients away from them. From my standpoint, I never ever want to deal with them again. If it weren't for the collective that's completely dysfunctional at Florida, he probably would have been there.”

But, the Gator Collective insists they never even communicated with Caspino before Rashada chose the Hurricanes over Florida:

Rashada is the 7th ranked QB in the 2023 class and gives the Hurricanes another intriguing weapon. They're on the cusp of being a very good team under new head coach Mario Cristobal and Rashad even voiced recently how fond he was of the program:

“I love the opportunity there,” Rashada said recently. “Along with the relationship that I have with the staff. I believe they will run their conference these next few years.”

Well, he's certainly heading to South Beach with a bag full of money.
