Immanuel Quickley has been showing out this season as a rookie and proving to be a vital piece of the New York Knicks' future. The former Kentucky standout fell to 25th overall in the 2020 draft, but he's already emerging as an absolute steal.

In a way you need to see and hear to believe, this is why the Knicks can rest all their future hopes on a single man who was an afterthought while with the Kentucky Wildcats, during the NBA Draft, and head of this specific season… because that all change right now:

Acquired by New York in a trade with the OKC Thunder, Quickley has shown star potential. He's registered two 25-point performances against the Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Clippers, while also dropping 31 against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

But his most impressive game yet was against LA last Sunday. Although the Knicks lost by 14, Immanuel Quickley was electric offensively against one of the best teams in the NBA. He was finding his lanes to the hoop and had that floater going all day long.

In fact, the majority of Quickley's points came from this exact shot. The Clippers were giving him space and he took full advantage. The rookie also did a tremendous job of drawing contact and getting to the line, where he's shooting a sharp 94.2 percent this season.

Immanuel Quickley is posting 23 points per 36 minutes this year while playing strictly off the bench for Tom Thibodeau. RJ Barrett is taking strides in his sophomore season, while Julius Randle is playing like an All-Star.

But when you look at the Knicks' future, Immanuel Quickley needs to be in the conversation as one of the building blocks. He's a confident player and a cold-blooded finisher. You're looking at the next superstar in New York… and he's playing for the Knicks.
