Everyone knows how successful the Kansas City Chiefs' aerial attack can be when they are fully healthy. But on the other hand, it is time for the Chiefs to go all-in at running back with LeSean McCoy.

Before the season began, Kansas City decided to sign McCoy after the Buffalo Bills released him. Of course, McCoy has had prior experience with Andy Reid; when the two were together with the Philadelphia Eagles.

As much experience as he's had in Reid's offense, the veteran running back is no longer as explosive as he once was. At the same time, he is likely the best every-down option for the Chiefs this season.

Besides McCoy, the Chiefs also tend to use Damien Williams and Darrell Williams in their offense in certain situations. While they've used three different running backs in recent weeks, it has been impossible for any of them to get into a rhythm.

In the first eight games of the season, the Chiefs have the 27th ranked rushing offense in the NFL with a mere 83 yards per game. How can you only have 83 rushing yards per game when you are incorporating three different guys in the backfield?

If you ask any running back, it is essential for them to continue to get touches as the game goes on. By doing so, a running back can create some momentum and begin to get a feel for how the defense is playing.

In light of that, the Chiefs need to begin giving the majority of their backfield touches to McCoy. Even at 31-years-old, McCoy leads the team with 69 attempts for 362 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, he has been the most effective with the ball in his hands in the running game.

As the team's technical starter, McCoy has averaged an impressive 5.2 yards per attempt. On the other hand, Damien Williams has just 2.1 yards per carry while Darrel Williams has only 4.1 yards per attempt.

Given that, McCoy is the obvious choice to be the full-time starter moving forward. While being productive on the ground, the veteran running back is also capable of being a receiving threat. The elusive running back has 19 receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown to go with his rushing numbers.

Whenever Patrick Mahomes returns from injury, it would be best for the Chiefs to run the ball with McCoy more to alleviate some pressure off of him. Also, come playoff time, having an adequate running game can directly result in success.

If the Chiefs get a rematch of last year's AFC Championship against the New England Patriots, the one way to beat Tom Brady is to keep him off of the field. That is exactly why Reid should hand over the reins to McCoy, the team's most talented running back on the roster.
