After signing last summer with the Boston Celtics for four years, $113 million, many expected Al Horford to be the team's focal point on offense. However, that has not been the case so far this season and he has been averaging the fewest points in five years.

The team's starting small forward, Jae Crowder, took notice of the lack of touches the 30-year-old Florida product has gotten especially after only shooting five times during their loss on Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons. He called out his teammates and even went as far as saying it was “very unacceptable” that Horford only got to shoot that much.

“Starting from my point guard, starting all the guys around him, we have to get him the ball in spots that we know he can help our team.”

“That's very unacceptable.”

Horford is a four-time All-Star and owns solid career averages of 14.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. More importantly, he is an experienced player who knows when to score and when to make himself a decoy.

Crowder hopes his comments will serve as a wake-up call to his teammates to utilize the 6-foot-11 center more and allow him to contribute to the Celtics as they look to continue the success they achieved last year. If they'll be able to maximize Horford's talents, it will definitely help their cause and make their goal of having a deeper run in the playoffs this season easier to reach.
