The Jacksonville Jaguars were spread thin in the backfield in Week 5, but now Corey Grant may be lost for the season. NFL Insider Adam Shefter reports that Grant suffered a lisfranc injury. If this foot affliction ends his year, T.J. Yeldon will become the team's only active running back on their roster.

Leonard Fournette was the Week 1 starter, but he's been battling a hamstring injury since their season opener. He attempted to return for the first time in two games last week, but didn't last through the first half. It may be time for the Jaguars to start scouring the free agent market for a fill in.

Corey Grant only had one carry for eight yards in Week 5. The Jaguars dropped to 3-2 after losing 30-14 to the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. Due to their running back deficit, Blake Bortles threw the ball 61 times against the Chiefs. Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said challenged Bortles to not throw an interception all regular season earlier this year. Unfortunately, Bortles threw four on Sunday. T.J. has been playing just fine, as he's one of the league's best duel threats out of the backfield. However, playing every down would definitely tire him out. The Jaguars need someone who can give him a breather until Fournette is healthy.

The Jaguars are tied with the Tennessee Titans for the lead in the AFC South. Next week, they'll face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6, who just fell to the Houston Texans. Beating the Cowboys will keep them on track to be a postseason threat this season. The Jaguars have one of the league's best defenses, but they'll need the offense to help balance them out.
