Amateur boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul and former MMA star Ben Askren are set to face off this weekend in Atlanta, with Paul being the early betting favorite.

The moneyline currently has Paul at -135 for the bout, with Askren sitting at +115, per MyBookie. Many of the prop bets also favor Paul.

Askren's odds of being knocked down stand at -115, compared to -125 against him being sent to the mat. Bettors also believe if Askren wins, it will come via decision.

Both men have been doing quite a bit of yapping during the buildup. Jake Paul, as expected, has been particularly vocal.

Askren made an appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, which ended with Logan playing a message from his brother. Jake told Askren's family not to watch the bout:

“So Ben Askren’s kids, wife, please don’t watch this because your dad will be bloodied, unconscious on the f*cking canvas April 17 and I don’t want you guys to see that,” Paul said, via MMA Fighting. “You already saw him get knocked out in five seconds by Masvidal. Your kids are probably going to school getting made fun of because their dad got knocked out in five seconds and then he’s gonna get knocked out by Jake Paul so please, leave them out of this. You f*cked up, Ben, by taking this fight.”

Jake Paul last fought on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. in November, going viral with a wild knockout of former NBA star Nate Robinson. That knockout made more headlines this weekend by selling millions as an NFT card.

Askren, meanwhile, is essentially making his boxing debut. The former ONE welterweight champion was known in the MMA world for his top-notch grappling more so than his striking, so it will be interesting to see how he performs.

Vegas certainly appears to favor Paul.
