Jan Blachowicz had his very exciting title reign come down abruptly at UFC 267 when Glover Teixeira beat him to become the new light heavyweight champion. The loss ended the ‘Polish Power' championship run and saw Teixeira take over.

Glover Teixeira managed to get the best of Jan Bachowicz throughout the fight as he looked good on the feet and dominated on the ground. UFC 267 saw an excellent performance out of the Brazilian.

Glover Teixeira hurt UFC champion Jan Blachowicz on the feet in the second round and put his opponent on the ground. The Brazilian quickly smothered his opponent and found the submission, Teixeira quickly tapped and the fight was over.

Jan Blachowicz recently spoke with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour and gave his thoughts on the fight at UFC 267. Overall, it was a frustrating affair for the Polish light heavyweight.

“No, I took him seriously,” the UFC light heavyweight said. “I’ve got a lot of respect to him. You know what’s the worst for me? Everything that he did in the fight we trained for it. We was ready for that. He was completely the same fighter we expected but I did nothing to stop him. I’ve got a lot of respect to him. I knew that he was gonna be in the best shape ever because [this was his second title fight]. So, I knew he was gonna be really good and he was. He was much better than me this time.”

Jan Blachowicz is working on his UFC return. He has many options with the light heavyweight division full of fun fights.
