Utah Jazz power forward Derrick Favors will enter the free-agency period fielding calls from interested teams as if he will be an unrestricted free agent, his agent Wallace Prather told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Favors' 2019-20 contract worth $16 million is non-guaranteed until July 6. Free agency begins on June 30.

Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors will enter the free-agency period fielding calls from interested teams as if he will be an unrestricted free agent, agent Wallace Prather told The Athletic. Favors, who has a July 6 date on his $17M guarantee date, will have a robust market as a free agent with several teams pursuing big men.

This past season, Favors averaged 11.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists for the Jazz, who lost to the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs in five games. The 27-year-old Georgia native shot 58.6 percent from the field, 21.8 percent from beyond the arc and 67.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Jazz acquired veteran point guard Mike Conley from the Memphis Grizzlies. They now have a Big 3 of Conley, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Utah probably has interest in re-signing Favors, but it would likely have to be on a team friendly deal.

It will be interesting to see which teams around the league have interest in signing Favors, who has career averages of 11.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
