With the NFL Draft lingering around the corner, teams around the league are conducting last-second scouting reports on the players they want. It's been highly speculated that the second overall pick will be Zach Wilson out of BYU, giving the New York Jets a new rookie quarterback to rebuild.

With the odds of Wilson going to New York slowly growing by the day, former Jets quarterback Marck Sanchez provided some advice to the young prospect, per SNY. Sanchez gives some solid advice about the market in New York, rather than what to expect in the Jets' organization. The Jets are a much different team than when Sanchez was there, but the New York media and market are still much of the same.

“My thing to Zach was, when you get into this market, most importantly, it's not about ‘Do GQ or don’t do GQ' your rookie season,” Sanchez said. “Understand who you are and what you want to portray yourself to be and understand what comes with all these decisions you're going to make in the media space. Because it's an unforgiving media. It's a difficult market.”

New York can be a bit of a culture shock for anyone who has never experienced it. It's one of the busiest cities in America and the sports teams are highlighted no matter how good or bad they are. Sanchez gives some detail on exactly how to prepare for the noise in New York.

“You just have to be careful of what you say or don't say,” Sanchez said. “And at the end of the day, you've got to understand that no matter what you do, whether it's GQ, whether it's Home & Gardening magazine, either way you're going to get criticized from people who disagree with what you did.”

It's yet to be determined whether or not Wilson will be drafted by the Jets second overall, but it sounds like Mark Sanchez is confident it will come to fruition. Find out if Wilson becomes a Jet, as the first round of the NFL draft is on April 29th.
