The New York Jets have been struggling this season in a big way, even after an aggressive offseason that was aimed towards getting them back into contention immediately. One of their key offseason additions was superstar running back Le'Veon Bell. Unfortunately, things have not gone as planned with Bell and he has started slow as well.

According to a report from Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News, the Jets are looking to trade Bell prior to this afternoon's trade deadline.

While Bell has been struggling a bit this season, it is a major surprise that the Jets are looking to move him. He signed a long-term deal with the team and franchise quarterback Sam Darnold has missed a lot of time early this season. Even with Darnold back on the field, he has been banged up and unable to play at 100 percent.

Throughout the first seven games of the 2019 NFL season, Bell has carried the football 109 times for 349 yards and just one touchdown. He has also caught 32 passes for 187 yards and a score.

New York may not be looking to make a deal just to move Bell. They could be hoping for a team to overpay for the services of the star running back. If that is the case, a deal may not end up materializing.

Either way, this is something to keep a close eye on with the trade deadline just four hours away. Expect to hear more rumors and news about this situation.
