The New York Jets are looking to bounce back with a vengeance in 2018. The team has brought in the potential future face of the franchise in rookie quarterback Sam Darnold and things are starting looking up in New York, especially with the new leader under center having a solid target downfield in Terrelle Pryor.

Unfortunately, Pryor, who signed with the Jets in free agency, is already on the mend dealing with an injury. The former Washington Redskins wideout suffered an ankle injury during this offseason and is currently in a walking boot, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

Although Pryor was a big signing for New York, he'll have to prove his worth in 2018 while joining a receiving corps headlined by Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, and Jermaine Kearse.

Apparently, the quarterback-turned-wideout had a procedure on his injured foot recently. Despite that fact, he is expected to be good to go for training camp next month, via NFL.com.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Pryor recently had a minor cleanup procedure on his foot, according to sources, but is expected to be ready for training camp, which opens in mid-July.

Last season, Pryor's stint with the Redskins was marred by injuries. The 28-year-old played in only nine games for Washington starting in only two of those games. He finished with 240 yards and a touchdown on 20 receptions and failed to live up to the expectations of being Kirk Cousins top target in the passing game, therefore, leading to his departure in NFL free agency.
