New York Jets star Jamal Adams has boldly predicted that Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis will all be on the New York Knicks next season.
Durant and Irving can become unrestricted free agents after this season ends and both superstars have been linked to signing with the Knicks together in free agency.
Davis, who has requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, can become a free agent in the summer of 2020. For Adams' prediction to come true, the Knicks would have to trade for Davis this season or in the summer, and that's not going to happen since New York doesn't have any assets to acquire The Brow after trading Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks.
Still, Jamal Adams isn't backing down from his claim that the Knicks will have a lethal Big Three in 2019, and you have to love his confidence:
The Knicks freed up a ton of cap space in the Porzingis trade and now have money to sign two top-tier free agents in the summer. Kyrie Irving is from New Jersey, while Durant's business manager, Rich Kleiman, is a life-long Knicks fan and could persuade KD to join New York.
Reports have stated Davis is open to playing for the Knicks, but it's just hard to see a scenario where New York acquires Davis before the 2019 season. Maybe in 2020 is when Adams' prediction will happen.
