As this year’s draft nears, the Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy asking prospects to work out and convince them that they're worthy of  being selected second overall in next week's draft. Tuesday was no idfferentas they had an individual workout with De’Aaron Fox in the morning, and invited Josh Jackson in the afternoon for his second session with the team.

When asked about what he felt finding out that the Lakers want to see him up close for the second time, the former Kansas Jayhawk admitted, via Serena Winters of Lakers Nation, that he was very excited about it. He was also interviewed after his workout and answered some questions thrown at him, including what he can bring to the team, and what he feels about the possibility of playing with Brandon Ingram, who has the same position as him.

“The NBA is changing so much, you look at two of the best teams in the league, the Cavs and the Warriors and at the end of the game, when it’s winning time, there is no 5 man on the court, there is no 4 man on the court, there’s pretty much forwards and guards all playing at the same time, so I don’t really think me and Brandon being the same position would cause any problems, I think it would be really special honestly.”

Despite having very similar skill sets, both Ingram and Jackson have a lot of versatility, which allows them to play multiple positions. His possible addition to the team will also allow head coach Luke Walton to field in more combinations to better match up against their opponents.

Although many still believe that the Lakers will opt to add a guard in the draft, Jackson’s unique skills continues to intrigue the team and it will be interesting to find out who they’ll eventually choose come June 22nd.
