One of the more under-the-radar free agents in this year's offseason will be veteran point guard Jrue Holiday.

The 27-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent and will have several options in front of him from teams looking to add help in the backcourt. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Holiday is expected to meet with the New Orleans Pelicans at the start of the free agency period at midnight on Friday night.

New Orleans guard Jrue Holiday will meet with Pelicans officials at the 12:01 a.m. ET start of free agency on Saturday, league sources told The Vertical.

The report also goes on to state that if Holiday is unable to work out a deal with the Pelicans, then he would speak with several other teams in the first two days of free agency to gather a better sense of his value around the league.

The Pelicans are expected to make a big push to re-sign him as he's their top priority in the offseason. Despite dealing with injuries over the last few years, Holiday has been a source of stability in the backcourt for the franchise and is coming off a productive campaign where he averaged 15.4 points and 7.3 assists per game.

If New Orleans lowballs Holiday in contract talks in any manner that could push him to look into other options on the open market. In other words, the ball in the Pelicans' court to get a deal done.
