Kayla Harrison is one of the biggest names in women's MMA and trains with Amanda Nunes at American Top Team. Therefore it was only natural for newly minted UFC champion Julianna Pena to mention her.

Kayla Harrison has not been afraid to fire shots back at anyone that mentions her name, even if it's a UFC champion. She recently went on The MMA Hour and fired back at Julianna Pena.

“I think she should be careful,” Harrison said. “I think she needs to be careful about what she says and who she says it to. I’m not Conor McGregor. I don’t talk shit just to talk shit. I have a lot of respect for her. I think she’s a good fighter. But this isn’t a joke, and you should be careful, because I don’t play those games.”

There has been a lot of talk about lesser competition in the PFL and that Kayla Harrison needs to test herself in the UFC. She understands but she's by no means a lesser fighter.

“I’m not a B-league fighter,” she said. “I’m going to be the best in the world, and if you think that’s different, then step in the cage with me and find out.”

Kayla Harrison may very well end up fighting Julianna Pena at featherweight should she choose to fight in the UFC. The MMA world is currently waiting for Harrison's decision in free agency to see if she will sign with either UFC, Bellator, or return to the PFL.
