After Draymond Green decided to run his mouth a few days ago about Kevin Durant‘s big move to the Golden State Warriors, the media simply could not let the hot story not resurface once again. Green claimed he played an integral part in recruiting Durant to the Warriors by calling him almost immediately after the huge Game 7 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. As it turns out, Durant has a much different take on what exactly happened.

“Why does it matter right now?,” Durant retorted. “I’ve been talking about this all season. Like, I’m tired of it. I’m not mad or anything, but I’m just saying at this point, it’s the Finals and I’m trying to stay where we are. Trying to stay locked in. It’s been the whole year now, so, it’s over.”

Whether the series of events that Green explained happened or not is of no concern to Durant and likely the rest of the Warriors personnel. Now making their third consecutive trip to the NBA Finals on an almost perfect run truly shows their minds are indeed locked in on one thing: securing an NBA title.

As talented as Durant is, blowing a 3-1 lead is no foreign idea to him, as he and the Oklahoma City Thunder managed to allow the Warriors to come back from such a deficit last year in the Western Conference Finals.
