On Monday, Sacramento Kings point guard Darren Collison was arrested after facing domestic violence charges for an incident with his wife.

The Kings released a statement shortly afterward:

“We've been made aware of the situation. The Sacramento Kings condemn violence of any kind. We are gathering additional information and once the facts are known we will take the appropriate steps.”

Collison just completed the second season of a 3-year, $16-million deal with Sacramento. In 74 games, he averaged 14 points and 4.3 assists per game as the primary backup for Rajon Rondo.

CBS Sacramento also reported that Collison was cited for driving with a revoked license.
