The Sacramento Kings have been one of the most surprising teams in the NBA this season, and while their record doesn't show it, people are starting to notice their potential to be one of the best teams in the NBA.

They had a brilliant showing against the defending champion Golden State Warriors, and although the Kings lost 127-123, the team believes they have proven a point.

The Warriors were quick to praise the young Sacramento team after their hard earned win. Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Steph Curry had positive things to say about their opponents tonight.

Both teams combined for 41 made three pointers, the most in NBA history. Warriors made 21 triples on 47 attempts while Kings hit 20 (franchise record) for 36.

Steph Curry scored 42 points (10 3-pointers), had five rebounds and two assists, Kevin Durant had 29 points, nine assists and five boards, and Klay Thompson added 20 points for the Warriors.

Buddy Hield led the Kings with 32 points while hitting 8 of 13 triples. He also had five boards and four dimes. Rookie Justin Jackson added 28 points and five rebounds off the bench.

The Warriors may have won the first three regular season meetings against the Kings, but all the games have been decided by a total of 10 points.

Golden State was coming off a 135-134 loss at the hands of the Houston Rockets a few days ago, where they allowed a 20 point lead slip away. They almost had the same disaster against the Kings, who were able to keep the game close despite trailing by as many as 16 in the first half.
