Kings coach Dave Joerger loves the support that Sacramento is giving his team

“It's just a really good vibe,” said Joerger, according to NBC Sports California. “The City of Sacramento's on fire right now and we're having a great time.”

Joerger is in his third season as head coach of the Kings and is enjoying, by far, his best year yet at the helm. Sacramento currently owns a record of 32-32, a major improvement upon the 27-55 mark it posted last season.

He also went 32-50 in his first year with the club back in the 2016-17 campaign.

Prior to joining the Kings, Joerger spent three seasons as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, leading the team to the playoffs in all three of his seasons, topping out at 55 wins in 2015.

He had originally been an assistant coach for the Grizzlies, a position he had held since the 2007-08 season.

The Kings have not made the playoffs since the 2005-06 campaign and have not posted a winning season since. Sacramento's best season since then came during the 2007-08 campaign, when it won 38 games.

The Kings are currently in action against the New York Knicks on Saturday afternoon.
