The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled for much of the regular season, and at this point, they don't look ready to contend for a title this year. Hence, the Cavs have been active in the trade market, trying to find players that will shorten the gap and make the team competitive enough for a possible fourth-straight trip to the NBA Finals. One possible target, George Hill of the Sacramento Kings, recently spoke out about the constant rumors linking him to the Cavs.

According to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today, Hill wasn't bothered by any rumors.

“I’m not mad or frustrated,” Hill said of hearing his name in trade talks. Either it happens or it doesn’t. I don’t follow Hoops Hype. I don’t follow Bleacher Report. I don’t watch ESPN,” Hill said. “Right now, I’m with the Sacramento Kings, and I’m trying to help these young fellas learn,” said Hill, who can play point guard and shooting guard. “It’s about the relationships I’ve got with the players. We’ve got a bond, and it’s my job to teach those guys what I’ve been successful with. No matter if you’re in trade talks or not, I still have an obligation to be the best teammate I can be while I’m here.”

Hill is currently averaging 10.3 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the 3-point line. Having spent years with the San Antonio Spurs, the Indiana native has a distinct philosophy to be a great teammate rather than worrying about trade rumors.

“I came from San Antonio. It was always a team-first atmosphere no matter if you’re playing 30 minutes or five minutes,” Hill said. “You play the right way.  You play to win and you be a great teammate.”

Time will tell if Hill is traded to the Cavs before the deadline, but all eyes will be trained on that part of the NBA map.
