The New York Knicks have gotten off to an 0-3 start and blame hasn't taken long to go around. The Knicks have lost twice by double digits, including their most recent loss to the Boston Celtics, which saw players look lost at both ends of the floor.

While many expected the fingers to be pointed at the coaching staff, veterans Courtney Lee and Tim Hardaway Jr. seem to be mostly upset with their teammates botching the plays, not the coaching staff, according to Ian Begley of ESPN.

Head coach Jeff Hornacek said his team ran “95 percent” of the offense correctly, for the exception of a few plays where guys took a while to realize what was going on during it.

“There was probably five or six of them that we (wanted executed) and we were just a little out of position,” said Hornacek. “Maybe we forgot we were supposed to turn and screen. And so those are things we're working on. We go over it every single day. It's new guys and a new system… it's just learning the offense.”

Hardaway; who was signed to a four-year, $71 million deal in the offseason, has struggled to earn his check through the first few games, but isn't worried as he's gone through a similar path last season before picking it up.

“The same thing happened to me last year and I overcame it,” said Hardaway — who went 5-for-15 in games two and three of Atlanta's season but otherwise shot well early on. “It turned out to be a great season for me. I'm just happy that my teammates are behind me and in my corner and the coaching staff has that faith and that trust in me to compete.”

The fifth-year shooting guard has shot a poor 9-for-37 from the field and 5-for-22 from beyond the arc three games into this young 2017-18 season.
