Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker knows what it's like to go through his fair share of tough injuries, which is why he can empathize with New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis, who recently suffered a torn ACL, ending his season.

Porzingis landed awkwardly after dunking past fellow unicorn Giannis Antetokounmpo, remaining on the floor, clutching his left leg in pain following the play.

“I didn’t think it was major because there wasn’t a lot of impact,’’ Parker said of the play, according to Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times. “I didn’t think it was serious. Not one bit.”

“But I know what he’s going through. It’s really tough. I wish him nothing but the best and, if he ever needs anything from me, I’ll be there for him.’’

The Bucks forward, who is only six games into his comeback from a second ACL surgery of his four-year career in the league, offered his best tip to Porzingis, who is expected to be out for at least 10 months with the injury.

“Just train your body and, most importantly, train your mind because the spirit and soul are in charge of the vessel,” said Parker.

Porzingis was having a breakout season as the go-to scorer for this young New York Knicks franchise, as well as the leader in blocked shots league-wide; but this setback could put his plans of league domination on hold for the next few months.

Parker has experience those same setbacks and can provide a wider perspective for the young Latvian as he goes through the road to recovery.
