The Los Angeles Clippers may have defeated the New York Knicks on Sunday, but young guns RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley got the attention of two-way stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Leonard finished with 28 points in the Clippers' 129-115 victory. However, this did not hinder him from noticing Barrett's aggressiveness and eagerness to take on him.

“He’s aggressive,” Kawhi Leonard said of the Knicks sophomore, per Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic. “He took on a challenge. That’s how you get better, trying to guard the best players on the floor and also trying to attack them. I liked his mindset tonight. The sky is the limit. Depending on how hard he works and where his mental is. I like that he took the challenge tonight.”

While RJ Barrett caught the eye of Leonard, Paul George had his eyes on Immanuel Quickley. George particularly liked Quickley's lay-up arsenal. Despite being a newcomer, Quickley had the confidence and poise of a veteran.

“His float game was off the charts for a young guy,” George shared of the Knicks rookie. “I like him. I think what I love the most and it’s a hard quality to find: I thought he was fearless. He took some big shots. He stepped up to take big shots. Offensively, he was just aggressive.”

Barrett finished the contest with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Quickley made his presence felt off the bench and recorded 25 points on top of three rebounds and three assists. Julius Randle led the Knicks with a team-high 27 points, though to no avail.

It was just unfortunate that the Knicks lost to the Clippers. However, getting praise from two of the best players today should give them that confidence boost. Sooner or later, Barrett and Quickley will find a way how to utilize their talents to lead their team to a win.
