It's difficult not to admire Kemba Walker for how he has handled his tough situation with the New York Knicks. During his string of DNPs, he was still one of the first guys off the bench to high-five his teammates during timeouts. He celebrated when they made big plays. He didn't take veiled shots through the media.

Well, since getting back into the rotation, albeit for the lack of choice for Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau due to their depleted roster, Walker has shown that he doesn't belong on the bench.

On Thursday night against the Washington Wizards, Walker delivered an Eff You Game with 44 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Even though the Knicks came up short, his performance must be quite satisfying for the All-Star guard.

In fact, Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum took to Twitter to point out the obvious after Walker's explosive outing.

It’s never easy to ride the bench, especially for Walker's caliber. Not to mention, the decision happened seemingly in a wink. He came in one day and then suddenly, he's not needed anymore.

But with the way he's played recently, maybe it's time for Thibodeau to eat some humble pie and acknowledge that his decision to bury Walker wasn't optimal. The Knicks are looking for any form of spark in what has been an underwhelming campaign. Walker, who's been nothing but the consummate professional, can be that guy.
