If Zion Williamson was tuned in to Thursday night's matchup between the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls then he likely had a horrible flashback the moment he saw Mitchell Robinson's injury scare. The Knicks big man turned his ankle after literally blowing out the sole of his shoe during the game.

For those that require context, this is exactly what happened to Zion during one of his games during his playing days with Duke. The New Orleans Pelicans star was forced to sit out a significant period of time after suffering an injury from a blown shoe:

As for Robinson, he too had to exit the game against the Bulls after the freak accident:

The good news for Robinson was that he was able to return to the playing court after a brief trip to the locker room and it looks like he was able to dodge a potentially serious injury here. The 23-year-old big man was able to check back in the game and even played a pivotal role in the game's final sequence as the Knicks prevented Bulls star DeMar DeRozan from draining what would have been a game-winning shot:

Mitchell Robinson is by no means the most robust player in the league and his injury history is quite extensive. We just hope he doesn't end up missing time like Zion did after this blown-shoe incident.
