With the 2017-18 season all but over and the Draft Lottery in the rear-view mirror, several teams around the NBA are shifting their focus towards the future, including the New York Knicks, who finished with a 29-53 overall record (11th in the Eastern Conference).

According to a report from ESPN's Ian Begley, the Knicks have scheduled a private workout with Trae Young — a former University of Oklahoma standout who's expected to be a top-ten pick in the upcoming Draft.

“The Knicks have scheduled a private workout with Oklahoma's Trae Young,” Begley reported. “The Knicks gave the ninth pick in the draft. It's unclear if Young will be available when the Knicks pick. ESPN's latest mock draft, the Orlando Magic take Young with the No. 6 overall pick. The Knicks will work out several top prospects at their practice facility in Westchester County in the coming weeks. Many in the organization remain high on Villanova wing Mikal Bridges, per sources. The New York Post was first to report the Knicks' scheduled workout with Young.

At just 19 years of age, Young is already drawing loads of interest from teams around the league — and for good reason. The 6-2 native of Norman, Oklahoma has great accuracy at range, a solid handle, excellent court vision, and great defensive skills. In fact, Young's three-point shooting is so good that it has earned him the nickname of “Steph 2.0.”

In his 32 freshman appearances with the Sooners last season, Young racked up averages of 27.4 points on 42.2 percent shooting from the field (36.0 percent from beyond the arc), 8.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals.

Exactly where Young will land in the Draft remains to be seen, but there is no doubt teams are interested. Until then, have a go at some of his highlights with the Sooners.
