While most of the talk surrounding the New York Knicks are about the top-tier free agents they are planning to get, people tend to forget about the small moves that they need to make in order to build a competitive roster. Well, the Knicks have one, as they are reportedly interested in free agent swingman Reggie Bullock.

The Knicks' top priority in free agency is Kevin Durant, but whether or not they sign the two-time Finals MVP, they are planning to build a roster that's filled with shooters. They have already expressed interest in free agents George Hill and Wayne Ellington, and Bullock is the third prolific 3-point shooter on their list of potential signees.

Bullock split last season playing for the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 12.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists. But what he's really known for is being a reliable shooter from beyond the arc, as he had a 38 percent clip in 2018-19.

When given the right amount of playing time, Bullock can also be a decent scorer. Aside from knocking down open 3s, he's also capable of creating his own shots. He will be a great asset if the Knicks will be able to sign him.

The Knicks are still uncertain about their chances with KD, but if they miss out on him, they will most likely build next season's roster around RJ Barrett — the third overall pick in this year's draft. Either way, they will need guys that can help space the floor, and that's exactly the hole that they will fill during free agency.
