NBA referees are now most likely to call delay of game due to untucked jerseys, thanks to Chris Paul's snitching antics earlier this season. New York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton saw that firsthand on Sunday in their home game versus the Denver Nuggets.

With the Nuggets up 16-12 at the 4:11 mark of the first quarter, Payton checked in to the ball game while tucking his jersey as he stepped foot onto the playing court.

The official quickly blew his whistle and called the Knicks guard for delay of game, causing Payton to have a bewildered look on his face. “Ya'll thank Chris Paul for that,” the referee exclaimed as can be heard from the video below.

NBA rules clearly state that players should have their uniforms tucked in while on the playing court or risk getting called for delay of game or even a technical foul for repeated infractions.

Referees usually treat such instances as minor disturbances and often let such calls go, up until Chris Paul called out Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jordan Bell for doing so in their game last week. The Oklahoma City Thunder eventually came out on top of that close match, thanks to Paul's heads-up play.
