Bloober Team announced Wednesday that they entered a “strategic co-operation agreement” with Silent Hill producer Konami. The announcement fueled more speculation that The Medium developers have been working on a Silent Hill game.

Back in February, Bloober Team teased in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz that they are working on an established horror IP. Fans believe that this IP they are referring to may as well be Silent Hill. The recent announcement serves as validation for this speculation.

The announcement didn't explicitly say which games Bloober Team is making with Konami. However, a Video Games Chronicle report says that one of the projects Bloober is working on is indeed Silent Hill.

While it's great to hear some sort of assurance that Silent Hill is currently being developed, Video Games Chronicle also shared that they know Konami has also outsourced a game for the series with another studio. Hence, we're sure that no studio has an exclusive right to develop games from the series just yet.

Fans have been very adamant about reviving the horror franchise ever since the cancellation of PT. Every bit of info they can gain about the series has been turned into some wild conspiracy theory. Recently, fans have pointed to Blue Box Studios' upcoming horror game Abandoned to be a disguised PT game. Blue Box has since denied the rumor, maintaining that Abandoned has no relation to the horror series.
