With the Los Angeles Lakers pursuing a trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis, second-year point guard Lonzo Ball is one of the main pieces that the Lakers are putting on the table in exchange for the superstar.

Whether or not a deal gets done is anybody's guess, but LaVar Ball is already preparing for it, saying that if his son does get dealt, he wants him traded to the Phoenix Suns.

“We want to be in LA,” LaVar Ball said, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “But if he’s traded, I don’t want Lonzo in New Orleans. Phoenix is the best fit for him. And I am going to speak it into existence.”

That doesn't come as much of a surprise, as the Suns are in desperate need of a point guard and Phoenix is not all that far from California.

However, LaVar obviously has no say in the matter, and Lonzo has not played nearly enough (or well enough) to have any sort of clout to dictate where he gets traded.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski then took to Twitter to respond to LaVar's demand.

You really have to wonder what world LaVar lives in where he thinks he can actually direct the Lakers. Does he seriously believe that Los Angeles is going to give up on its chase for Davis just to appease him?

Early on, LaVar's act was actually very entertaining, and he was seriously funny to watch and listen to, but it has now gotten to the point where he simply needs to sit on the sideline and let things take their course.
