Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss took a quick stroll down memory lane, and she made sure to take us all along for the ride. The 58-year-old recently came across a Los Angeles Times article about her childhood home being listed on the market, and Buss could not help but relive one of the most precious memories she had growing up there.

Buss endearingly narrated the first time she met Lakers legend Magic Johnson. Jeannie was just 19 at that time, but it is clear that the memory lives vividly in her mind up to this very day:

It's great to hear this interesting story coming straight from the source. Who knew that Magic did not see himself spending his entire career with the Lakers? Kudos to Jeanie for quickly alerting her father about this.

We all know how this panned out, though, and we can't even picture Johnson in a Detroit Pistons uniform. The Pistons emerged as one of the Lakers' fierce rivals, and having Magic play on the other side seems unimaginable.

Buss also has a wonderful message here amidst all the uncertainty and despair brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. At this point, it's great to come across such positive and encouraging messages. Right now, we could all use a little bit of magic in our lives.
