Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant congratulated the 2018 Hall of Fame class. Via his Twitter account, Bryant said:

The players inducted to the Hall of Fame are Ray Allen, Maurice Cheeks, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Tina Thompson, Dino Radja, Charlie Scott, Ora Mae Washington, and Katie Smith. While the coaches and contributors are Rod Thorn, Rick Welts, and Charles “Lefty” Driesell.

Allen, regarded as one of the best 3-point shooters in basketball history said, per the AFP:

“I don't think as much about my career but the people that have gotten me to this point,” Allen said.

For his part, Nash, one of the best point guards ever and also an ex-teammate of Bryant said:

“This is incredible to be here with this group,” said two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Nash. “It's a Dream Team.”

Indeed, getting inducted into the Hall of Fame is one of the greatest honors that a basketball personality could receive. It means that they have contributed something great and worth remembering to the game of basketball. Their legacy and influence won't be forgotten anytime soon.

Speaking of legacy and legends, Bryant will have his own time in that Hall of Fame podium soon. It's only been two years since Bryant hung up his jersey for good and the rules state that a player has to be retired three full seasons before attaining eligibility. When the time comes, Bryant is a cinch to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
