The Los Angeles Lakers have had some hilarious players over the years, one of them being Nick “noodles” Young. The L.A. native and USC alum played for the Lakers in the twilight of Kobe Bryant's career but was more famous–or infamous–for one of two things: either his colorful personality on the court that included stunts such as celebrating a three-pointer too early and ended up missing the shot. Or, you know him from his off-court drama involving his dating of rapper Iggy Azalea and the subsequent Lakers snitching situation.

He was also known for his quotes, with one of them being about how his right arm is “strictly for buckets” and that he could only get tattoos on his left because of it. That quote made its way to Malik Monk before he began his own tattoo journey and according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Monk says he took it to heart.

The two players are similar players not only in terms of their tattoo placement but because they also have similar basketball skillsets. Both have been long-range snipers with the ability to get to the hoop as well. The defense is lacking from both of them, but that comes with the territory.

“Swaggy P” (young) and “Microwave Monk” are also are alike in that they are both Lakers Fans' crowd favorites for home games. The similar play has led them to almost identical career stats, as well.

In 13 NBA seasons, Young averaged: 11.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, .2 blocks, .5 steals  37.6 percent from three.

In five seasons, Monk has averaged: 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, .2 blocks, .5 steals, 37.3 percent from three.
