During the fourth quarter of Sunday night's 127-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball missed a wide open dunk attempt in transition. In lieu of the embarrassing moment, several of Lonzo's teammates, as well as his brother, LaMelo, chimed in with a bit of playful banter.

Lonzo gathered the fast break pass, vaulted from his left foot, cocked the ball back with his right hand, and… thud.

Kyle Kuzma, who scored 14 points, 10 rebounds and two assists in Sunday's home win, was asked to compare his missed dunks with Lonzo's failed attempt on Sunday.

“I miss dunks, but they're on people,” Kuzma said with a smile during his post-game media availability. “(Lonzo) is wide open… Bad.”

In his 32 minutes of playing time against the Cavs, Ball scored five points on 2-11 shooting from the field (1-6 from beyond the arc), seven assists, three rebounds, and one steal.

“That's my first (missed dunk of the season),” Ball said when asked who's missed dunk was worse. “He's got like three or four.

Lakers rookie Josh Hart, who's recovering from hand surgery, took a subtle shot at Lonzo.

Aside from Lonzo's missed dunk, the Lakers — now the 3rd place team in the Pacific Division standings with 30-36 overall record — have been playing solid basketball as of late. In fact, they've won seven of their last ten games.

The Lakers will be back in action on Tuesday night, as they're scheduled to host the Denver Nuggets inside the Staples Center. Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. EST with NBA TV having live broadcast coverage.
