The Los Angeles Lakers have their fair share of doubters after signing several older players this summer to surround LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, Metta World Peace is clearly a believer. The former Laker had a rather nostalgic analogy to LA's title aspirations this season:

World Peace is clearly referring to the fact that LeBron and AD have the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, and Rajon Rondo, among others, around them. As a whole, their roster is definitely a little bit older, but the talent is unmatched. The question is, can they find chemistry together?

The Lakers certainly believe they have what it takes to win another championship after an injury-riddled 2020/21 where The King and Davis struggled to stay on the floor. Clearly, Rob Pelinka has brought in all of these veterans to give LA the best possible chance of winning it all again. It's also important to note that Rondo and Howard were important pieces of their 2020 title-winning squad. They should have no problem finding immediate comradery with the Lakers.

But, if this project doesn't work out and LA falls short of their goal, expect the roster to be shaken up once again next summer. Especially if the veterans don't produce. Nevertheless, the Lakers have a fan in Metta World Peace.
