Anthony Davis capped off his amazing performance for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday with a game-winning buzzer-beater, to put L.A. 2-0 ahead in the series against the Denver Nuggets. After the game, the entire Lakers squad had nothing but high praise for Davis, which included a very bold claim from veteran teammate Rajon Rondo.

According to Rondo, he believes that Davis is one of, if not the best player in the league right now when it comes to getting the ball in basket:

After a night like that from Anthony Davis, it's hard to argue against Rondo's claim.

AD was on point for the Lakers all night long, finishing with 31 points on 11-of-23 shooting, to go along with seven boards, nine assists, a steal, and two blocks in 39 minutes of play. The 27-year-old also drained two triples on the evening, with one of them coming in the dying moments of the fourth and final period. Davis literally saved the game for L.A. following a mad run by the Nuggets in the final few minutes of the contest.

As for Rondo, the 6-foot-1 point guard did not exactly have the best game of his career in this one. He did dish out nine assists and grabbed four rebounds, but he uncharacteristically turned the ball over five times. Most importantly, though, it was Rondo who assisted Davis on the game-winner with a trademark pinpoint pass from the baseline.

You also need to look at Rondo in the replay moments after Davis made the shot. Rondo had a nonchalant reaction to Davis' amazing shot, which just proves how much he believes in his teammate's scoring ability. Rondo did not look surprised at all that Davis drained that game-winner.
