Former NBA forward Stephen Jackson says Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis is “Tim Duncan on steroids.”

Jackson believes the Lakers will be better than the Los Angeles Clippers next season and win the Western Conference if Davis plays at the level we are accustomed to seeing him produce at.

For the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018-19, Anthony Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.

Davis has career averages of 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The new Lakers star has the third-best player efficiency rating in NBA history at 27.42. LeBron James is second at 27.59.

The Lakers have two of the most efficient scorers in NBA history on their roster. Not bad.

Davis can score from all areas of the court. He may not have the post moves Tim Duncan had, but AD is a better perimeter player than Duncan was and more explosive. The Lakers are going to be unstoppable in the pick-and-roll game with LeBron and Davis.

The battle for Los Angeles is going to be thrilling to watch next season. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George vs. Anthony Davis and LeBron James is as good as it gets in the NBA.
