Travis Wear impressed the Los Angeles Lakers enough last season that they have signed him to a two-way contract for the upcoming season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Wear averaged 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game last year with the Lakers. He shot 34.7 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from the deep. He also had a stint with the with the New York Knicks during the 2014-15 season.

The former UCLA Bruins star is now the 19th player on the Lakers roster for next season. Joel Berry, Jeffrey Carroll and Johnathan Williams are also competing for two 2-way contracts that each team is allowed on their roster.

If Wear does end up with one of the two-way contracts, he will spend most of his season with the South Bay Lakers. Wear averaged 16.7 points and 8.3 rebounds with the teams G-League affiliate.

Wear is older then the other guys competing for the two-way contracts, but he has also played on the Lakers roster last year and was a good member off the bench.

He usually plays the four position but is a guy who can stretch the floor and in his time during the G-League he was especially good at it. He took 6.9 shot attempts from deep a game with the South Bay Lakers hitting 42 percent. Those numbers dropped in the NBA, but not really a surprise as the competition in the G-League is a lot easier than playing against superstars night in and night out.

If he does end up getting cut after training camp, a contract with the South Bay Lakers wouldn't be out of the question.
